Sonia Sotomayor is a puertorican women who was born in the Bronx, NY. On june 25, 1954. Sotomayor's first learnings toward the justice system began after watching an episode of the television show Perry Mason. After her fathers death sonia's mother worked hard to support her children as a single parent. Now sotomayor is a grown women who was selected by the president of the united states, to be the first latina women to be in the supreme court.

Aztecs vs. Spanish

The Spanish were able to conquer the Aztec empire because they had many advantages. To begin with the Spaniards had superior weapons, their weapons were made from iron, and they also had gunpowder. In addition the Spanish also conquered the Aztecs with animals. They had animals that the Aztecs had never seen before, for example, horses. The horses were very because they were used to get around. The Spaniards also had dogs. Again the Spaniards had many reasons to conquer the Aztecs. Another reason was that the Spaniards brought a disease with them called smallpox. This disease killed many Aztecs because their immune system was not strong enough to fight this disease. At first, the Aztecs thought that Cortes, the leader of the Spanish was an Aztec god named Quetzalcoatl, but soon after the Aztecs figured out he wasn’t the Aztec god they thought he was.

Before I built my bridge I was thinking of a simple, but a nice design. And I think I did an "OK" job for working on my own. I think if I had drawn a picture before building my bridge it would've came a lot better but I just rushed through it to get it over with. But I think my bridge is going to do well. I built my bridge for looks because I thought if I made it for strengh it would've been much harder to build. So I just went for the easy one!

.:Yenia's Biography:.

Yenia was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa. She is the second daughter of Gliceria Delgado and Gregorio Sanchez. Yenia has an older sister, Ilianai who is three years older than her. Her parents are from a small town called San Ignacio, Sinaloa, about two hours away from the capital of Sinaloa. At the age of two she came to the United States and grew up in San Diego, California. She started her kindergarden year in Rosa Parks Elementary and graduated from there and went to middle school in a private catholic school. After three years she went to Hoover High school for two years and moved to Lindsey summit because she got pregnant and graduated from there. After high school she went to college and studied cosmetology her dream career. After all the time of hard work and taking care of her daughter she finishes college and opened her own beauty salon in San Diego and In Tijuana with the help of her husband.

She gets all the help she needs from her sister Ilianai who works for her in the beauty salon because her sister also knows a lot of cosmetology. For example she knows how to do make up and hair cuts she's a lot of help for Yenia. They are really close sisters and they both get the support from both there parents. And Ilianai and Yenia really appreciates that from there wonderful parants. Gregorio and Gliceria are grandparents of two beautiful girls, Amairaly and Camila. Amairaly is the oldest she's the daughter of Ilianai. And Camila is the youngest, she is the daughter of Yenia. Amairaly and Camila are the happiness of there grandparents home they are the best thing that they have in there lives. These two little girls get along really good they are both very smart and they love each other they bond very well.

Yenia is living with her daughter and her husband in there home in Tijuana. They are a happy family and they are living very well there lives and enjoying all the beautiful moments they have with their daughter Camila. Her and her husband are planning to buy a house in San Diego and move to the U.S. her sister and her parents are doing very well and they still live in San Diego.

Tongan Cuisine

In Tonga there was a time when there was only one main meal in a day were it was cooked in an Earth Oven. Tongan's diet consisted mainly of taro, yams, bananas, coconuts, fish baked in leaves; shellfish were usually served raw. Pigs were killed and cooked only on special occasions, such as weddings , funerals, and feasts honoring a visiting chief. In the 19th and early 20th centuries many new foods were introduced . One such introduction was the cassava plant, it is called "manioke" in Tongan.The cassava plant is an easy plant to grow and a common crop. Watermelons also became popular. Other fruits were aslo introduced, such as oranges, lemons, and limes. Tongans also adopted onions, green onions, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, and other common vegetables. Today, Tongans now consume large quantities of imported flour ans sugar. A dish that uses both is Topai. it is made with flour and water, then served with a syrup of sugar and coconut milk. Topai is mostly common in funerals because it is easily prepared. Tongans now purchase prepared foods for example canned corned beef,
and canned fish.
Tongans no longer make an earth oven every day. The daily cooking is now done in battered pots over open fires in the village. And in larger towns the women cook in gas or electric ranges. The meal schedule has also changed, to a more westernized breakfast , light lunch, and heavy dinner.

I strongly disagree with prop 8 because it's totally wrong. Every one is the same so gay people also have the right to be happy and marry the one they love. Prop 8 is unfair and gay marriges should be legal so everyone could live their lives happy.
